Our roots began before the advent of the large investment banks into the Australian financial services industry with the amalgamation of Queensland stockbrokers, Nevitt Draper Charles Elliott Corrie and Co, the predecessor of Nevitts Limited. Nevitts Limited was renamed Macquarie Financial Services following the acquisition by Macquarie Bank during September 1998 and Axis Investment Centre was born on the 22nd March 2004 following a management buyout when the present owners, Justin Pascoe and Bernie Goldie acquired the business. Consequently we have had a presence in North Queensland under one of these identities for the last forty years.

Justin Pascoe - Director
Justin has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from James Cook University, a Graduate Diploma of Investment Analysis from the Securities Institute of Australia and is an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia. Justin has over a decade of experience in the stockbroking and financial planning profession. (ASIC no 258517).

Bernie Goldie - Director
Bernie has a Bachelor of Economics Degree from James Cook University, a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from the Securities Institute of Australia and is an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia. Bernie has over a decade of experience in the stockbroking and financial planning profession and over thirty years experience in the trust industry. (ASIC no 258518)

Mark Spicer - Advisor
Mark has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University of Natal (South Africa), is a registered member of CPA Australia and an Affiliate Member of the Securities Institute of Australia. Mark specialises in risk management and superannuation but has has over 7 years experience in accounting and financial services field. (ASIC no 292830)

Nikki Jankovic – Advisor
Nikki is an Affiliate Member of FINSIA and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning from financial services body, Kaplan Education. She is currently working on an Advanced Diploma. Having been employed by Axis for over five years, Nikki’s focus is on building effective financial strategies for a diverse range of clients. Nikki is also responsible for managing our Deceased Estates department. (ASIC no 367054).

Tania Cropper – Advisor
Authorised Representative number is 400672. Tania holds a Diploma in Financial Planning (obtained from Financial Planning Association), a Diploma in Financial Services and Advanced Diploma in Financial Services. Tania previously worked as a financial planner for a national financial institution for over 10 years, and was in charge of Compliance for her geographic area.

Tania’s area of expertise is superannuation, retirement planning and Centrelink. Tania maintains an Associate Membership with FPA.
